Service is just OK but the food is great! We had Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, pork fried rice, crab rangoons and egg drop soups. Everything tastes great! No wait and the food came out very fast.

Service is reasonable for the price, but nothing stellar. Food, on the other hand, is exceptional. I ate so much, and it came out to only about $20 for each of us. I'm a big guy (6'1" 215lbs), and I was stuffed. While everything I had was delicious, I have to particularly recommend the congee and pork buns.

China Pavilion is one of the top two Chinese restaurants I've found in Broward County. Having lived in the San Gabriel Valley of LA and London has spoiled me just a little, so you can imagine how pleased I was to find something good in the area. (With the usual hedge that South Florida doesn't have great Chinese food.) And guess what--they do chifa here, Peruvuan Chinese dishes. They have three menus, so get them all: American, Peruvian and Chinese. We often order from all three!

Whenever I'm back home, this is one of my family's go-to places for dim sum and my dad & I are pretty picky about our dim sum. Service can vary based on how full the place is. Make sure to get there when they open on the weekends or else it could be quite a wait. Very well priced and food hits the spot.

Incredible dim sum. The first time I ever had dim sum was in New York City in China town. I don't think it can get more authentic in the U.S. than that. I have eaten here twice now and have brought two others to sample their dim sum and they were in heaven. We fed 4 people for 50 bucks including water and a pot of tea. If you're expecting doting customer service you won't get it, but you will get a lot of amazing food for a great price.

Food was great but service was beyond bad they treated me like I was gonna rob the restaurant because I have both arms full of tattoos and beard they did not once come to check on the table and forgot my white rice and to top when we got the waitress attention she sucked her teeth and then gave us attitude meanwhile I watched every other table get checked on and had there refill and it took almost 30 mins to get anyone attention because they was ignoring my table and walked by many time and not once checked up on us!

New location and still offer good food. Dim Sum is always good as long you are there before 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. If you plan to go it is best to arrive there around 11:30-12:00. This place get pack quick and is filled with a lot of asian people. Their pan fired chow mein is excellent. Make sure you tell them to pan fried it both side so it comes out crispy. The sauce and vegetables on top of the chow mein give great flavor and texture. Their beef stir fried rice noodles are great too.

Went here for dim sum. They did not disappoint. Most authentic in south florida.

Because of the foood it gets 3 starts. It would of gotten two if it was just for the service. They sat my family of 3 down and a guy came and place the forks and menus on the table, but all on one corner and never made I contact or greet us. No one helped us or greeted is for sometime, we decided what we wanted and had to call the server over for the first time. Again she didn't ask us how we were or any type of greet. She just stood ready for the order. We ordered and the food came out a few minutes later. Food was ok, I had the chicken and broccoli with some fried rice and chop soy. Moments after we got our food server came by asked how it was and that was it. We said ok and she didn't come back until we were done and brought us the check.

I was a long-time customer of Bamboo Garden. I have ordered from China Pavilion several times since they took over this location. I just placed a large order and was very disappointed that two of the dishes - Kung Pao Chicken and Szechuan Chicken - were totally bland with no flavor when they both were supposed to be spicy dishes. I called and the response I got was "I guess the kitchen was too busy and forgot to add the spices." I will be looking for a new Chinese restaurant that cares more about their customers.

They moved to a new location and got brand new. The food is good. But the service is horrible! We had to beg for a waitress to come take our order. Then couldn't understand anything she was saying. And she snatched the menu out of my friends hand. These people need to do better with they're customer service. That will be our last visit.

Food is really good. Service is also good. You better eat your food as fast as possible because they set the thermostat at 35 degrees and your food will get cold FAST!

Just came here on Labor Day at around 1230p and this place was beyond packed! The reception area was standing room only and there were numerous patrons waiting outside to be seated. Thus, I'm thinking wow the food must be amazing! Thank goodness I ordered take out so I didn't have to wait long. I ordered mainly dim sum: shrimp dumpling, pork siu mai, honeycomb with ginger and scallion, shrimp rice paste, fried shrimp ball, bean curd skin, and ham fried rice without vegetables. All the dim sum was looked freshly made. All the dim sum was good and everything tasted fresh, but it wasn't the best I've tasted in south Florida. The bean curd skin was very tasty, but everything else was just ok. The shrimp rice paste was as expected as it was sauced so that was also tasty. The actual rice paste / noodle was cooked perfectly and the thickness was perfect as well. Now onto the fried rice. . . The rice looked broken and old. Keep in mind I asked for no vegetables so the attached picture reflects this. As you can see from the picture the fried rice looked like it was leftovers that you would give your dog. It was awful! It tasted like it looked ... The service I experienced was only that of the hostess at the counter... They were not friendly, but not exceptionally rude (well they did not smile, not greet me, and didn't really look at me while speaking). Having gone to numerous Chinese restaurants here in south Florida as well as the northeast and west coast, I don't expect much service from a Chinese restaurant so this didn't actually bother me. It is the type of service (or lack thereof) I expected. The dim sum was 3.5 stars. Service was 2 stars. The ham fried rice was a joke and was worse than what I have cooked at home which is saying ALOT! Would I come back? Yea ..for the dim sum takeout (since we are limited in our availability in southwest Broward). I've not eaten food here before except the fried rice so my review may be skewed in that sense but because fried rice is a basic staple of a Chinese restaurant I'm not willing to try the food here. If you can't get basic right then I can't expect the quality of anything else to be good. They probably have a good distributor for their dim sum so at least that will be consistent... Takes no real skill to steam food for serving.

I've been to many different Dim Sum restaurants in SoFlo and this spot is by far the best one. To make delicious and really good dim sum, it takes years of experience to achieve the look, smell, taste, and consistency. The dim sum sifu here got it. Although, if you want to compare the dim sum to NYC, or HK, then this is a little bit under. But still, we're in SoFlo so I can't really complain. The beef rice paste is one of my favorite dishes and this spot makes it so good. The beef with cilantro taste fresh and not overly cooked while the rice paste that's wrapped around it is just right; soft, smooth, and not too delicate. My family and I are a regular here especially during the holidays. Weekends can get a little packed but there's enough seats so the wait is minimal. The dim sum prices are also reasonable and not overly priced like some others. If you're a dim sum lover then this place is a must stop for you. :-)

This would be a 5 star review (by Miami standards) if it weren't for the slow service. In all fairness I've only gone here on a Sunday for Dim Sum which seems to be when everyone else goes too. Other than that this quite possibly is the best Dim Sum option we have in South Florida although I can't say that definitively though I have been to every place south of here in Miami-Dade county. Menu selection is pretty decent, I like that they have a pretty extensive book of pictures in case you aren't familiar with names. Must haves are pretty much anything with BBQ pork like the Baked BBQ pork bun or the Pork & Scallion Crepe. Skip the fried mix dumpling though, I'm not a big fan of the little shrimp in it and overall taste is just meh. Prices are reasonable for Miami, it's not going to be as cheap as places in NY or San Fran but all things considered you can walk out stuffed for a lot less than you think.

Yup! Finally found my dim sum place. Florida isn't known for the best Chinese food, but this dim sum is some of the best I have had. Of course nothing compares to NYC or even Canada. But the variety of choices on their menu is great. EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious. Chicken feet cooked to perfection, all the rice pastes are Devine and dumplings and soups are great! We went during the week but this place is defiantly worth the wait. Btw not the best service but I don't care as long as the food is this delicious and very affordable!

I don't understand how they only have 3 1/2 stars because the dim sum is authentic and amazing. They make the egg custard fresh daily and their food is flavorful. We went for their dinner as well and it was delicious! We will definitely come back.

Excellent for DIM SUM!! when I come here..I always wish that the non-Chinese people would know more about Dim Sum..I always see them ordering the traditional Americanized Chinese food...which is fried rice, wonton soup, all that...NO...you are doing it wrong! Try Dim Sum (Chinese breakfast) this is one of the best places to have it from in South Florida... What to order: Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (probably the bests I've tried ever..) Siu Mai Steamed Roast Pork Buns Stuffed Bean Curd Baby Octopus with Curry Rice Paste with Beef Mini Stuffed Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf Chicken Feet (if you are feeling adventurous, it is delicious!) Egg tarts (dessert) You're welcome!

My only five stars of the whole trip. Just outstanding, though have had better Dim Sum, it is up there. The Peruvian menu and the fact that there are many Chinese customers is always a guaranty of excellence. The General's Tso Chicken was tender and full of flavor. The Dim Sum was freshly made, brought hot, and quite good. Probably one of the best Siu Mais ever. The fried rice, which is how I taste a Chinese restaurant, was great. Quite happy and will definitely go back when visiting Miami. Even though it was packed we were seated on the huge tables.

Awesome dimsum! 5* ! Forget Dragon gate, Pie Wei or any Chinese NY style take out joints, this is the real deal right here! When you're surrounded by 4-generation Chinese families, you know you're in an authentic chinese restaurant :) Try the Singapore street style rice noodle with chili oil dip, ooooh ... that hits the spot! I recommend - Dim sum menu - Singapore rice noodle (did I mention that?), pork siu mai, shrimp steam dumpling with chives, chicken bun, veal black pepper, eggplant, mango pudding with some hot tea The best thing about this place is Dimsum, I also had the sizzling beef from the regular menu which was good and the Peruvian Chinese menu is a hidden gem ;) I've been a regular since the time they were in the old location and they're consistent even after moving to the new and bigger location.

My dad brought our family here on a Sunday 10/12/2014 since he said this was recommended by a lot of people. We walked in at around 1pm got seated right away. It was like a casual sit down Chinese restaurant. Their method of ordering food here is they hand you the menu and you pencil in how many of which items you would like. It was pretty neat since I think that method avoids a lot of confusion. We ordered steamed shrimp dumplings, steamed fun gor, steamed pork shiu Mai, steamed chicken feet, beef honeycomb, veal with black pepper, steamed pork buns, steamed egg custard buns, fried shrimp balls, crispy sesame seed balls, spring rolls, some fish thing and fried rice. Took a Lil while to get our food but it was plenty when it arrived. Highlights were the fried shrimp balls they were so big they looked like dragon ball Z or something and the steamed egg custard buns! Boy were they delicious, just the right sweetness. Overall it was okay. The best part was the price. For all we ordered it came up to like $60 rounded off and it was plenty and there were 4 of us. I personally had better but I would recommend this for lunch, family Sunday brunch. But don't come here during 1-1:30 pm Sunday coz it's really packed during that time.

S'ok... Service not great. Noticed a few tables that came in after us receiving food before we did. Our order was lost somewhere along the way and we looked at our soup from afar, sitting alone not knowing how to get to us. It did make it, but was cold by then. Food is ok, but we've had better. I appreciate the variety. My fav was the shrimp and scallion dumpling. The BBQ bun, turnip cake, sesame ball, red bean ball, and shu Mai were ok, but again--we've had better. It's definitely bustling...maybe ordering from regular menu is better? I won't be back. Next time we visit S. Florida, we will try something new.

Food was excellent. I came with a party of ten and we had a variety of their dim sum dishes. I don't think I had anything bad. However, the service is lacking. Drinks were never refilled, food came out in slow bursts. It was about an hour between when half or food came out before the rest came. Total time in restaurant was close to 3 hours.

I've been here twice now and am ready to review. The food is the real deal, genuine dim sum. This place fills up pretty quickly as well. We got there at 12:15pm on a Sunday and there was a 45 minute wait. The place was packed and there was a huge crowd waiting, inside and outside. The place opens at 11am, so clearly its a good sign. We decided to brave the wait and glad we did. We were seated within 30 minutes, not terrible and brought our dim sum menu and pencil to write down our orders. We always over order when it comes to dim sum, because we don't mind leftovers. We gave our order to the waitress and ordered tea. Right away they brought out dishes, silverware, and a hot tea kettle. Even the tea is good!!!! Its now approach 1 and we are starving, this late brunch was turning into a late lunch. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for our first dish to arrive...congee soup. We definitely licked the bowl clean on this one. Another 5 minutes and then they brought our chicken stuffed bun. We devoured it. This however only wet our appetites, we were still hungry and still waiting for the rest of the order. We had to ask servers multiple times for water, chopsticks, and napkins. Slowly the dishes came and then we were flooded with them. Our table was full, they hadn't cleared the dirty dishes, but we were enjoying everything we ate. We looked over the menu we ordered and they were still missing 2 dishes: shrimp and leak dumplings and sticky rice in lotus leaves. We had to ask 3 different times to finally receive these, we were full so, we had it wrapped and took it home. The two of us ordered 9 dishes (we were hungry), ate 5 completely, and then took the rest home. The whole meal costed $40 with tip, a bargain!!!!! Bottomline: come here for delicious authentic dim sum, not the service. I had to deduct two stars for this reason, but gave back a star because you don't have to feel intimidated eating here if you are not asian. All walks of life dine here, and they offer picture menus to help you order...hence 4 stars

Very mediocre dim sum. The service was not great at all. Our waitress was kinda rude but for the most part most Asian restaurants have poor service so there wasn't any high expectation. I got over the service easily. The food on the other hand. If you're craving for dim sum this will curb your craving but it's not all that Greta. Very bland food.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! This place is nice looking inside but I have never had such slow , unfriendly , poor service in any restaurant ever! No silverware , no water, no plates , food took forever !!! We waited for an order and nothing came after waiting forever we asked and they told us there were out ! The waiter shooed us away like no one cared! I will never come here again!!!

I have many fond memories of this place. My family bring me here every single time. I travel a lot and for dim sum, this place is memorable to me. I hold it very dear. The decor and service could use a little work. It's what you'd usually expect from an authentic Asian establishment. The servers don't speak much English, but that never bothers me because I'm not a terrible person. The only thing that really matters is the food. I mean, service is really important too and it's not bad service. They get your order promptly and bring out the food. You just can't ask for anything overly specific and obnoxious--they wouldn't be able to understand you anyway unless you speak Chinese. But man, the food. I've been here every other year and the good quality never changes. Like affordable, authentic Chinese dim sum? Definitely go here.

Review for the Dinner China Pavilion is a restaurant that moved from its location to, what I believe, to be a more dingier location. The general area is still rather nice, but I find the restaurant to be a bit less authentic and grungy. We came for dinner and the place was packed! However, I couldn't seem to find many Asians there at all. Lots of western dishes and options presented, and it felt like a different restaurant than the one previous to it. I came with the family for dinner, so we ordered quite a bit. We started off with Jellyfish Salad with Cold Meats Platter. The appetizer itself was quite large (and expensive), but the jellyfish was very good, while the meats themselves were decent enough. Beef Brisket Hot Pot was decent with enough meat to feed a family of four, though they didn't cook it long enough as much of the tendons and beef weren't as tender as they should have been. Spicy clams and salt and pepper Seafood were subpar, and they definitely don't make them as well as they used to. Food here declined from the old place. Can't comment about the dim sum as I haven't tried it at the new location just yet. The servers here were also clearly overworked as it looked as though they burned off hundreds of calories running all over the place and getting flagged down by any patron that would have them. Not sure if I'd be back. Was hoping for the same place I loved way back when. Doesn't appear to be any longer.

Ok. So I half expect poor service when I go to authentic Chinese places so this experience wasn't too much of a surprise but still disappointing. We went for dim sum on a weekend and almost everyone there was Chinese. Good sign right? We were handed a paper where you check off what you want. 15 minutes later I flagged down someone to take my order and I asked for hot tea and ice water for the table. We got the tea. No water. They start bringing out the food one at a time. I have no problem with that. I asked for water a few times whenever they brought something to the table. Still no water. Then the waiter brought us one glass for the table and I asked for 2 more for the rest of the party but to no avail. Beef chow fun was bland and really mushy. Meh. Stuffed eggplant - fantastic! It was really good. Shrimp and mango rolls - mushy and gross! Custard pastry - delish! Fried shrimp ball - very good. Duck and pork rice paste - good. I like the shrimp ones better. Steamed shrimp dumpling - good Fun gor - my son hated it but I thought it was ok. Steamed stuffed bean curd - meh. Wish I got the fried one. I will definitely go back to try the items on the Chinese menu. I noticed that they have snails in black bean sauce. I used to order that in NY all the time and I'm curious to see how good it is here. They also have pan fried whole little fish. Gotta try that! We asked for the bill and asked for some water again and that's when we finally got our water. It came out with out bill.

Great dim sum restaurant. I haven't ordered anything from the regular menu, but I fully intend to go back for that sole purpose. Good food and great prices. You should get there when it opens to miss the crowd on weekends there for dim sum. I do believe that I've fallen in love with this place!!

It's pretty hard to find a great and decent dimsum place in the area, but my family and I have been coming here for 5 years, and it's still our favorite place for dimsum and Chinese food. Prices are fair, but what keeps my family and I coming here is the family atmosphere and most importantly the food. Top things to get for dimsum: MANGO SHRIMP ROLL (Literally, the best thing I've ever eaten here. Eat it while it's hot and fresh and dip it in the sweet mayo. I always recommend this to anyone. They also offer this during their non-dimsum hours. GET THIS. ALWAYS GET THIS.), grab their chicken feet if you're adventurous, stuffed eggplant, egg custard, dumplings and fried taro. Whenever you eat dimsum, I always ask for lemon and combine that with soy sauce and chili oil, trust me this sauce is always a must too, whenever you eat dimsum. Dimsum is ordered by penciling in a sheet which items you would like to order, with a picture menu. I believe dimsum is only offered during lunch time. My family's favorites from their regular menu items are the fried duck/chicken (with the salt), garlic Chinese broccoli, and their seafood pot. This place can get packed, especially on weekends, so try to eat during the weekday and get there early. Staff is friendly. Overall, for me, it's always a great place to dine.

My family and I used to love this place because they have Chifa (Peruvian-Chinese food -- even the menu is in Spanish) and the food is usually very good. However, we had the worst dine-in experience. Our food took forever to get to the table, they brought everything at different times, plus the soup was super cold. Then the server was trying to be "funny" and poured beer on my brother in law's unfinished plate because she thought he was done! We were in shock! We believe in second chances, so after our first bad experience there, we decided to order for pick up only; however, that was a bad idea as well. Food wasn't good at all. We ordered "sopa wantán especial" (special wonton soup), but we didn't even get a single wonton!!! I won't come back again!!!

I am so impressed with China Pavilion! This is the third time we have ordered delivery and once again the food has arrived fresh and hot and wonderful! our kids love the sweet and sour chicken which has a light and crispy tempura batter. The cashew chicken is so impressive, with fresh crisp snow peas, water chestnuts, baby corn, cashews, red peppers, and oyster mushrooms... Clearly very freshly stir fried or they wouldn't be as crisp as they arrived. Dinner combinations are only $8, come with two nights worth of food and fresh spring rolls and soup. Orders over $20 also include 4 crab rangoons or 6 wontons. great value and excellent quality. A new favorite! orders do take an hour, which they tell you ahead of time, obviously cooked to order.

With dim sums on our mind and feeling adventurous we headed out on a day trip to Pembroke Pines! The location is easy to find with ample amount of parking. We arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday expecting a wait; which was about 30-40 mins but gave us time to get a feel for the place. Hustle and bustle was all around with servers focused on getting dim sums delivered to each table. The "waiting area/lobby" was packed and it was a little confusing if there was a line or you put your name in. I was handed a plastic number and that was it; no time frame or explanation. Looking around there was a sense of urgency about the place. Giving me the feeling that once seated you are to rush through your whole meal. With this in mind I grabbed a menu and picked out a couple of items I knew we for sure wanted. Once seated we studied the long dim sum menu and they also have a pictured dim sum booklet to help, which was nice! Our drink order was taken and we were given plenty of time to decide what we wanted without being pressured! We wanted to order a wide range of different items to try so our set number was 10! I thought it was intriguing the way the ordering/serving process was. They kept our ordering page on the table and brought each item out at a different time then circled it on the order sheet! Definitely a different way of doing it but I was very intrigued! Items we ordered: *Baked BBQ Pork Buns- I enjoyed these but thought the BBQ was missing something. *Fried Shrimp & Mango Rolls- A new dim sum that we haven't had before. They were a little over fried for our liking but the inside was good. *Stuffed Bean Curd Skin- First time trying and we really enjoyed these! Stuffed with pork, mushroom, and ginger! Delicious! * Steamed Fun Gor- Had no clue what this was so we ordered! See picture below! * Duck & Roasted Pork Rice Paste- Another first that we loved! The meat was cooked perfectly with lots of flavor! Recommend! * Fried Custard Puffs- Flaky pasty puff with a generous amount of custard filling! * Fried Pork & Scallion Crepe- Definitely different and like a biscuit pastry; ehh. * Steamed Roasted Pork Buns- Didn't realize we ordered the same 3 BBQ pork items just in different form. These we good but the BBQ was just off for me. * Steamed Red Bean Buns- I loved these! Hot, sticky buns with a generous amount of Red Bean paste! With a large amount of items tried we felt like we explored their dim sums quiet well! One of the downsides to their server process is that we marked 10 dim sums down but they forgot one. No big deal as we were wayy to full anyway and they didn't charge us so it worked out. I give them three stars because the dim sums were not the best we have had in SoFL and the service was very basic. The environment was on the loud side with banging dishes and busing tables didn't seem to stop. We didn't really know what was going on during our entire dining experience, we just went with everything. As mentioned above the dim sums I liked and disliked but none were OMG crazy good for us to drive over 30 mins for.

Just ate Dim Sum here this morning. It was delicious! Comparing it to Momi Gyoza in Brickell we got quadruple the food for half the price. We had: Steamed shrimp dumplings - really good Steamed pork shumai - best we've ever eaten Steamed chicken feet- great flavor if you dont mind the little bones and tendons Mini sticky rice lotus leaves - lots of meat good flavor Steamed roast pork buns - awesome Steamed chicken buns - good flavor has mushrooms Baked egg custard tarts - eh okay Baked roast puffs - yummy Fried shrimp balls - reallly good Pan fried pork n veg rolls - sooo good Baked BBQ pork bun - amazing Steamed sponge cake - mmm Pan fried pork n veg bun - we were so full didn't try it lol = all that for $35 plus tip = $45

Went for Saturday brunch with my family. The place opens at 11am and we arrived around 11:30, got seated immediately. However, the place was packed by noon so I recommend getting there early! We ordered a variety of different dimsums in addition to the house special seafood congee. The congee was delicious but on the salty side. Yet, all other dishes were delicious. The steamed shrimp and vegetable dumplings were the best :) The fried sesame buns were crispy and not oily, the best I've had so far! Also, I'm not a siumai fan usually but the ones served here were great. We've been to a lot of different places for dimsum but this place was definitely one of the best. I could tell the food was fresh and made in the morning. Ambience was loud and noisy once it got packed but wasn't too bothersome for us. Definitely will be returning in the future!!

I have not tasted anything I didn't like from here yet. Their dim sum is authentic, delicious, and filled with such an array of dumplings, middle and rice dishes, puddings, steamed buns...the list goes on from "safe" for beginners to the more authentic and exotic items. As for the standard Chinese-American dishes? They're also great! The sauces have lots of flavor, the chef is flexible with specific requests (I make many), and the veggies are always crisp and fresh. Prices are reasonable, and they have neat freebies when you spend certain amounts. Get to the crab Rangoon level, and you will be pleasantly surprised with some of the yummiest Krab Rangoon you've ever had. Wow! Service is efficient and friendly, but I usually order take-out. They've not made a mistake yet, and I am always happy with my meal! Yum!

This place serves the most authentic dim sum in Broward county. The restaurant serves a variety of dimsum and the roast pork buns are a must try. Entrées for dinner are delicious as well. My family and I always take time to dine here when we visit Pembroke Pines.

DimSum is really GOOD here and some of the dinner options I had were great. Try the pepper steak which is only $9.98(i think). The price is decent. Servers were attentive when it is not busy.

Food is really great since the take over of new management . They were packed. They took a bit long with our food, but not bad at all.

They've moved! They're now on Pines Blvd. and Palm ave in the KFC plaza. The new location is probably twice as big as the last one. The food is the same which I'm happy about. You're wait time for take out is longer then the last location (probably because they're bigger now). It still one of the better Chinese restaurants in Pembroke Pines. My favorites are the house special fried rice and their roast pork. You MUST try their dim sum it's very good. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is the smell. In this new location the smell of old sweaty Chinese restaurant hits you the moment you walk through the door. What's worst is that it stays on your clothes even if you just waited for your food in the reception area...gross. Will be using delivery from now on.

Great place for dim sum at a newer and bigger location. Been a fan since their original location further west. With 70 - 80% Chinese patrons at brunch/lunch hours, the place gets the local seal of authenticity. Glad to see they finally put up their own signs. Parking: A bit awkward. I always miss the turn into the plaza. If you are west bound on Pembroke, you need to make the very next right after KFC. Otherwise, you have to turn north on 101st Ave and loop around the parking lot to the restaurant. Service: Average to good in an utilitarian way; customers are there to eat and servers are there to take orders and bring your food. Service improves when they recognize you as a regular. Not big on friendly greetings. You have to get their attention if you need something; it seems really busy every time I go. Food: Dim sum is where it's at. They do have a small, one page special (more authentic) menu. It's a bit funny how they view the customers. If you are handed the tan menu along with the dim sum order sheet, they probably think you are more interested in the authentic offerings. If you are handed the Americanized menu, well, they thank you for your business. Try this, look at the Asian patrons' table and see how few, if any, items are from the Americanized menu. My wife and I typically order 2-3 items each. Here are several of my favorites: stuffed bean curd skins, steamed beef honeycomb, pan fried taro pudding, and steamed roast pork buns. My wife likes the fried pork & scallion crepe, spring rolls, and beef chow fun (this is the authentic version with the he fun noodles). Price: Very reasonable. Most items are between $3 - $4. We take the complimentary hot tea with our meal. With tips included, $30 gives you 4 - 6 items and leftovers. This is my preferred Asian brunch spot. Minus 1/2 stars for service and another 1/2 star for the atmosphere. I would like better service and a more intimate setting for dinners. For brunch and lunch on a weekend? Heck yeah! Let's go!!

The food is amazing and the portions are great value. I advise calling ahead for a reservation since the wait can at times exceed an hour. I would have given 5 stars but the server was a little slow.

LOVED the shredded chicken udon and steamed shrimp dim sum. Best Chinese food I've ever had. The place was packed. Next time I want to try some greens as I saw bok choy and other greens at other tables but didn't see it on the menu.

When I think dim sum, I think of carts being pushed around and me pointing at whatever looks good. When I learned that China Pavillion does not do carts, I was a little upset only because I have fun while on the hunt for the next cart I want. My fun was slightly taken away, but the taste wasn't! Instead of carts, there's a menu (with pictures!). Mark off what you want, then wait. They bring out the dim sum whenever it's ready, so it won't be all at once. I enjoyed everything we ordered! Nothing too crazy... shrimp, pork, duck? (I don't remember now, oops.) Other reviews mention the rude service received. Although I cannot say we had the friendliest people deliver our food, I didn't think they were flat out rude to us. They could improve on customer service with a smile, but I don't have anything to complain about really. It's cheaper than other places too. I guess you're paying that upcharge for the carts at other restaurants. I'm ok without. Just thinking of my visit makes me want to go again soon!

I would love to give this restaurant more stars because I do enjoy their dimsum but they're have been many times I've come here and experienced severe racism... It's been to the point I just order take out because I hate dealing with people that make it seem like your not worth their service or food, we've been ignored, had to wait longer than another Asian couple that came after us, after explaining we wanted chop sticks not forks had to wait almost an hour for food when the restaurant was empty. My money is as good as anyone else's it's not fair to be treated badly just because of skin color

Horrible service. I asked for a drink three times today, the waitress finally brought to me at the last moment . Well, I and my friends not happy today. Then we tip 6 dollars.

All the stars are for the food, they have great cooks. Love their dim sum and their regular menu. Be aware that you might have to wait at least 20-30 mins to be seated if you go for dim sum during the weekend, but you won't regret it. And as other people mentioned, they don't have the most friendly staff, but I never had any problem with any of the waitress.

Its a bit far from where I live, but its the most authentic Chinese Dim-Sum place I ever been to in South Florida. Sure the ones in NY and LA are the best, but this place is not too far off to their standards. You can get most of the comment dim sum in this place and they were all pretty good: shui-mai, shrimp dumpling, spring rolls..etc. The restaurant is very nice and clean. Opens at 11am for brunch which is great. Most importantly, most Chinese restaurants do not provide good services. This place actually got pretty good services. The waitresses were nice and friendly and the food came out of the kitchen fairly quickly. I can see myself coming here for brunch pretty often from now on.

An upgraded and expanded location doesn't make you better than one or another, China Pavilion... Yes, you may be able to seat more guests and have an upgraded location in terms of size, but why in the world did you bring over a poor attitude and just degrading customer service carry over from the previous location. Oh yeah...most of the front end staff are the same. This should be a fresh start, rather than continue with the same monotonous poor attitudes that your front end staff have. Since they moved, had dinner twice and Dim Sum once. As you can see, my parents like to frequent China Pavilion because it's one of the few Cantonese style restaurants that has some decent eats. Overall - dinner is okay, many of the same dishes remained, as none of the items on their menu changed, including the specials. Cantonese style stir fry items, clay pots... The consistency was different every visit. Some dishes were seasoned well, some over seasoned, some under seasoned...and all the dishes had its fair share of this in the different visits. One thing for sure was consistent! The amount of MSG in the food! Every time I came home I had to down gallons of water just to compensate for that cotton mouth feeling after eating all that MSG laden food. Dim sum items were pretty much unchanged. Still the same quality as before. Like I said before, one of the few places with decent edible Cantonese style food. For some reason, the staff is just not as friendly as one should be when running a business. To keep your customers, you are required to accommodate within reason and not kick people out. Hence my 2 star review. Your customer service really just did it for me. It left a terrible taste in my mouth... How can you tell your customers if they don't want to wait for a table, you can just leave... I've seen and experienced China Pavilion's degrading staff turn away customers like if their s$@t don't stink and treat them disrespectfully. The smart remarks, the poor pissed-off facial expressions, and the bad mannerisms are just poor for your business. I understand you're one of the few Cantonese style restaurants in the southern Broward area, and people tend to frequent you for the convenience. But with your continued poor attitude and degrading customer service, you will just destroy your business rather than improve it. Think about it...

Recommended by daughter in law. Place look nice n well lighted n they have flat TV's around the dinning area n all are tune in to Asian Programs, (I found it interesting). I order the Pork Mushroom n green beans plate that it comes with fried rice, Soup ( order Wonton) one egg role n dessert. Wife order Honey Chicken n comes with fried rice, soup ( order egg droop) one egg role n dessert. When we finish with the plates, (wife could not ate all of it) server ask if we want dessert. Wife pass n I ask what dessert they have. Ice Cream, so they brought one scoop of Pistachio, Now all that food that was fresh, tasty, service on the spot came out (tax included) under $20.00 Boy that make my day n fore sure we will visit it again. :-)

This is quality dim sum. Of course the service is typically Asian, you get what you want but always a little rough around the edges. As long as you never expect it, you won't be disappointed. We had veal slices, beef chow fun, roast pork bao, roast pork puff pastry, roast pork baked buns (particularly yummy) and egg custard tarts. There is free wifi with the password on the wall haha.

STILL THE BEST DIM SUM Moved several months ago from their Flamingo Road location into the former Bamboo Garden III location. I purposely waited a month for them to work out their relocation kinks. I find this new site to be better lighted with a significantly larger seating capacity. Amazingly the wait staff delivers your dim sum order promptly, steaming or sizzling hot. Plenty of parking. Larger interior wait area but still overflows on to exterior where there is no shade unlike their previous location. There exterior signage remains Bamboo Garden. Not sure when or if ownership will change out the signage. Otherwise it's business as usual. 11:30 am to 1:30 pm are their peak hours.

The food was fresh & tasty. Nice variety to choose from. Tried the shredded chicken pan fried noodles, spring rolls, steamed shrimp dumplings, steamed shrimp& leek dumplings, steamed chicken feet & all met expectations. The service is good & the value was also good. Definitely will be a do again.

Well here I sit waiting for my meal while the rest of my table has been served. So far not so good. So I finally got my food yay! Service is not good had to track down my waitress 3 times. Seafood soup was excellent... Orange beef was not as spicy as usual but very good...curry chicken good

Did dim sum here. I think this is the most legit Chinese style Chinese restaurant in so fla. of course it won't top the "real places" in Cali or New York but for this area it's worth the trip out for time to time to remind yourself what Chinese food "should" look and taste like.

this place gives the vibe of a true Chinese restaurant. lot of the customers were Chinese. the tofu, grouper casserole was really good. missed the dimsum as it was till 4 pm

Delicious and authentic dim sum! This is my new favorite dim sum restaurant in South Florida. The food is always fresh and the service is speedy. Plan to wait for a table on the weekend mornings if you don't arrive when they open! Everyone else knows how good they are too!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We asked how much a whole chicken was as the price was not on the menu. She told us it was $10.95 but when we got the bill, it was $17.90. We inquired about this and were told very rudely by the manager/owner that we must have misinterpreted what the waitress said. He then proceeded to roll his eyes and tell us never to come back to the restaurant. I think there must have been change in management because we've come here for years and have never been treated so horribly and we are freaking Chinese! Don't go here!

  • Melanie B.

The food is authentic and consistently great. We always order off the Chinese menu and are partial to most any of the seafood dishes with vegetables. Food typically comes very quickly. This newer, cleaner facility/location is more inviting.

Been going to the old location for like a long time. Coming to the new location where bamboo garden used to be (need to dump the old sign threw me off for a sec haha). Looks bigger and nicer than the old spot the food still taste great except for the curry mini octopus didn't have the curry flavor made me sad on the inside lol. The service was good in the beginning and middle then towards the end when waiting a while to ask for the bill. Still one best dim sum restaurant in south Florida. Will definitely be back especially since it's closer to me now :)

Horrible, terrible, no good, very bad service . I thought this would be a good rest urant, but the soup that we ordered was cold, we had to ask several times for water & tea, they said there were no glasses, so we had to wait 15 minutes before at least 4 were washed, we had to ask for soy sauce & duck sauce, we had to wait about an hour to sit down, waited another hour for 3 plates. We asked to speak to the manager, and he said " everyone has to wait an hour until their food comes." Very disappointed

I've only done take out, so I can't speak of the sit down service. The dim sum is really good. I recommend the crispy taro. I've had several dishes here, but my favorite dish to order is the deluxe vegetable udon noodles. For 9.95 you get a huge portion! They give you a couple of freebies depending on your order for example: 4 free krab rangoon or 6 fried wonton w/ $20 order. Try the krab Rangoon they are delicious. Affordable and yummy!

Walked in and was sat at a booth that wasn't even mounted to the floor and I almost fell. Crunchy noodles were brought to the table by an elderly waitress with messed up teeth that looked atrocious, she was nice, but not service orientated. Eight sauces were on the table in an unsanitary manner. One had no cover and I can only imagine what had been dipped in it! The wonton soup was not bad, but certainly not the best! The rice taste burnt. The food was greasy, and the food had absolutely no taste. Even adding soy sauce, could not add flavor to food. How sad. Before the change in management, it was waaaaaayyyyy better!!!!!! Enter at your own risk!

I love to come here for the dim sum. Delicious and good service. I had the shrimp paste, the red bean buns, bbq pork buns and the steamed roast port buns. Paid 12 and took food home.

Ok, China pavillion 101: All the units you ask comes automatically in 2 or 3 pieces each. ( We thought it came 1 piece only for order on the dim sum list). I've never been in China, but this place felt truly Chinese because everybody there was Chinese!, I guess if lots of Chinese people come to eat here, must be authentic and good; the highlights: stuffed bean curd skin, beef chow fun, and beef honeycomb (basically cow's stomach, if you never tried it, you should!!!). The flavor is rich and every single piece has its own strong flavor, we loved it, its not like most Chinese buffets where everything taste the same. They are not your tipical " welcome to China pavillion" with a huge smile type of service, you have to get their attention especially on sunday brunch (super busy), you have to get a numbered ticket from the guy behind the welcome desk (they look like they're angry, mad, but they are not), when you sit down and you order, the attitude changes on the servers. We can't wait to come back, we'll probably become regulars (its not pricey, it's fair priced).

The best dim sum place you can find in south Florida. Try many places in the area but it wasn't good. We use to go to the old place and now they move to this new location. Still good foods and service is decent.

  • Binh T.

This place is the best dim sum in southern Florida. They have the standard dim sum menu made to order à la cart not on the standard heated little do some carts so it can take about 10 to 15 minutes. For dinner that is fantastic Chinese menu. Look for the Standage steamed or fried fish and crab versus lobster in the tank upfront. They do have the standard Americanized Chinese food; however I am not sure of the quality or taste. Service is so so not a friendly but this is what is expected of a typical Chinese restaurant that caters mostly to Asians. If you speak Chinese either Mandarin or Cantonese you're in luck.

    (4)
  • Pauline C.

Perhaps the BEST baked roast pork buns I've ever had...simply a pocket of sheer delight! Their buns are overstuffed, juicy and delicious. The fried stuffed taro has amazing flavor since it's mostly taro, not cut by fillers like most other restaurants, so the true taro flavor isn't lost. Rest of the dim sum is just ok. Had the shrimp wonton noodle soup, big shrimp wontons but lacked a little flavor. Stay away from the sticky rice bun...pretty awful, and they don't even use sticky rice!!

You only get the stars because the dim sum food quality is actually decent for a city not hugely populated by Asians. But the customer service is the part where the stars come off. The waitresses here look like their always grumpy and hate every customer that comes in and bothers them. Mind you I come here pretty frequent for dim sum because there isn't many places within 15 miles of where I live. I've even heard them talk bad about their customers in chinese amongst each other because they were asking them for typical items like their drinks, refill hot water in their tea pots, extra napkins, etc. REALLY?! Then why go to work there if you really get bothered by customers requesting you for things that is part of your job?! Another thing about their poor service was when I went last time I was leaving and pushing a baby stroller out. Two of the waitresses were nosy and decided to go to the parking lot and look at one of their friend's newly bought used car. As they were coming back in I was leaving. But no surprise here....do they hold open the door for me...NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Sorry but it definitely wouldn't kill you to be more courteous to your frequent patrons!!! Oh btw even though their place is bigger and newer and they have tiles everywhere, they really need to do a better job cleaning their floors with a degreaser. It always feels like there is a layer of grease on the tiles every time we visit. :(

This place is absolutely horrible!!!!! We ordered delivery for the very first time and they delivered our order wrong, when I called them to fix it the guy on the phone was super rude and kept insisting that's what I ordered!! Then he told me he wasn't going to argue with me!!! Really????? My hubby and I had to then drive back our delivery to the restaurant since they wouldn't come back and drop the right food!!! When we entered the restaurant the manager/ owner was siding with the one who took the order..(it was prob his son) then the owner walked way from me in the middle of my sentence did not even make eye contact with me and basically totally ignored the issue!!! I got a refund and would not recommend anyone to waist there time or money there!!! So horrible and rude ppl!!!! Disgusting

    (1)
  • Nona R.

Absolutely the worst service in whole South FL restaurants. The waitresses will only bring you the food when it's ready. They never go back to the table to check if you need more more tea, or drinks, or how was the food... Which are the basics as a waitress! I had to go to the front desk 3 times to ask for drinks, the check & to go box. We only go there because of fairly tasty dim sum, their dinner dishes are nowhere near Silver Pond's.

So here goes, I'm originally from NYC. And for those who know, it's littered with Chinese restaurants ranging from high end places to hole in the wall places, but all very good. This restaurant down here is the most authentic place I've found in the 3 years we've been down in Miami. This is saying a lot. We had dinner here, and had our usual dinner dishes - sizzling beef short ribs w/ black pepper, bean curd veggies (oong choy), beef chow fun, and some small appetizer dishes. They do offer good authentic dishes, hits the spot, not overly oily, salty and has good wok flavors. I would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in real Chinese food to try it. I have to try the dim sum next.

This was my first visit since they changed from the old restaurant that was here. Decor was fresh and inviting. Food was served fast and hot. The staff just made me feel a little rushed as they were short in responses and very robotic but polite. Hope they stay good and in the neighborhood.

  • Carlos F.

Very good food, authentic Chinese food if you know what to order, also dim sum is probably one of the best around Pembroke Pines. I gave 4 stars because service sucks, but that is the same in any good Chinese restaurant.

    (4)
  • Kyle W.

All these negative reviews are written by judgemental round eyes who have no clue what is or isn't authentic Chinese, and hold this place up to the service standard of an Applebee's. If you want reheated frozen food and vacuous blonde waiters head to Chili's. If you want an actual Chinese person to serve you actual Chinese dim sum come here. It'll smell funny, it'll be awkward with your server, and you won't know what half the menu is, but that's the whole point. Oh, and they have a fish tank full of jou fish in front, and yes the tank is lacking in decoration and could stand to be cleaned. If this doesn't make you more hungry, then this is the wrong place for you

We went to this restaurant many times when it was the Bamboo Gardens. This time we were not happy. The waitress was rude to us. The rice was dry. Won't be going back anymore

They used to be at flamingo and pines and they now moved to Palm ave and pines blvd. The sign still say Bamboo garden so don't get confused. I love their food and it was way better than Bamboo garden. They have one of the best dim sum around and they are always packed on the weekends so get there early.

Very good dim sum for the broward county area. One of the best dun sum place in the county. Servers were ok, I can see them being rude. But after reading everyone else experience I just killed them with kindness and smiles and it worked. We will definitely be back, not because of the service but the food
